Do Politics Poison Faith?

I've seen it happen locally, regionally, nationally. When it comes to politics, we find convenient loopholes to following Jesus in order to make the world more like Him.

Today's potential example comes from the ever loved evangelist Billy Graham, whose organization removed Mormonism from a list of cults a few days after the man received a visit from Mitt.

"Our primary focus at the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association has always been promoting the Gospel of Jesus Christ," Ken Barun, chief of staff for the association, wrote in a statement. "We removed the information from the website because we do not wish to participate in a theological debate about something that has become politicized during this campaign."

Never mind your thoughts about Mormonism, and I'm not telling you not to vote for Romney because he's Mormon. Vote how you want, I'm asking a faith question not a political question.

What I do want to know:

What is your take on Graham's decision?

Is this compromise in the name of politics?
